About Psyched Up Janis
Psyched Up Janis is a Danish alternative-rock trio formed in 1989 by singer and guitarist Sune Rose Wagner, bassist Jakob Jørgensen and drummer Jesper Reginal. Their guitar-heavy sound drew on grunge, punk and noise rock; the albums Swell and Be My Drug, together with the song “Silver Surfin’,” established their place in 1990s Danish rock.
Psyched Up Janis closed their original run with a farewell performance at Roskilde Festival in 1999. They later reunited for Danish concerts, including a 2014 run celebrating the 20th anniversary of Swell in Copenhagen.
