Public Service Broadcasting are a British group formed in London in 2009 by J. Willgoose, Esq. and drummer Wrigglesworth. They make instrumental rock and electronic music around samples from archival films, newsreels and public-information broadcasts. Their key albums include Inform-Educate-Entertain, the space-race narrative The Race for Space, the Welsh mining study Every Valley and the Berlin-inspired Bright Magic. The Race for Space was presented at the National Space Centre in Leicester in 2015, matching the band’s live instrumentation to synchronized archive footage and recorded speech. Live at Brixton later documented their concert at O2 Academy Brixton. In 2022 they performed the BBC Proms commission This New Noise alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra at Royal Albert Hall.

Hamish Hawk is a Scottish singer-songwriter from Edinburgh whose music draws on chamber pop, indie rock and post-punk. His baritone delivery and densely written lyrics are central to the albums Heavy Elevator, Angel Numbers and A Firmer Hand, and to songs including “The Mauritian Badminton Doubles Champion, 1973” and “Big Cat Tattoos.” The 2023 live run behind Angel Numbers included a headline date at The Queen’s Hall. After A Firmer Hand, he returned to larger rooms with his band and headlined Glasgow’s Barrowland Ballroom.
