Clarence Bekker Band in Barcelona

Clarence Bekker Band is a Barcelona-based soul and funk group led by Clarence Bekker, a Dutch singer born in Suriname. Bekker first recorded dance music as CB Milton and later became widely known as a featured voice on Playing for Change’s version of “Stand by Me.” His solo catalogue includes the album Old Soul. Bekker toured internationally as a vocalist with the Playing for Change Band before establishing his own full-band shows in Spain. The group has built its Barcelona live work around recurring performances at Jamboree Jazz Club, where Bekker sings soul and rhythm-and-blues material backed by a live band.
