Quatuor Ébène in Dortmund

Quatuor Ébène is a French string quartet formed in 1999 at the Conservatoire in Boulogne-Billancourt. Its repertoire encompasses Haydn, Beethoven, Debussy and Ravel, while recordings such as Fiction and Brazil document its work with jazz, popular song and Brazilian music. The ensemble recorded the complete Beethoven string quartets for Beethoven Around the World. In 2019, the Beethoven Around the World project took the ensemble through an international sequence of concerts and live recording sessions devoted to the cycle. It concluded in 2020 at the Philharmonie de Paris. Quatuor Ébène has also given recitals at Carnegie Hall in New York and Wigmore Hall in London.
