About Quicksand
Quicksand is an American post-hardcore band formed in New York City in 1990 by vocalist and guitarist Walter Schreifels. The group is best known for the albums Slip and Manic Compression, including songs such as “Fazer,” “Dine Alone” and “Thorn in My Side.”
Quicksand played the inaugural Warped Tour in 1995 before disbanding later that year, then reunited briefly in 1998. Their longer return began in 2012 with a surprise performance at Revelation Records’ 25th-anniversary event at the Glass House in Pomona, followed by a headlining show at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.
