Artists
Quiet Riot is an American hard rock and heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1973 by guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassist Kelly Garni. The 1983 album Metal Health, led by its title track and a cover of Slade’s “Cum On Feel the Noize,” made the band widely known. It became the first heavy metal album to top the Billboard 200. In 1983, Quiet Riot performed on Heavy Metal Day at the US Festival in San Bernardino and later opened selected dates on Black Sabbath’s Born Again Tour. In 1999, the band toured on Rock Never Stops alongside Ted Nugent, Night Ranger and Slaughter.
Vixen is an American all-female hard rock band formed in 1980 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, by guitarist Jan Kuehnemund. The band became known through its self-titled debut album and the songs “Edge of a Broken Heart,” “Cryin’” and “Love Made Me,” followed by the album Rev It Up. After Vixen was released in 1988, the band toured in support of Scorpions, Ozzy Osbourne and Bon Jovi. In 2004, Jan Kuehnemund, Janet Gardner, Share Ross and Roxy Petrucci reunited for a one-off performance on VH1’s Bands Reunited.
