Rachel Zegler is an American actor and singer, born in Hackensack in 2001, whose work centres on musical theatre and pop vocals. She became known through her film debut as Maria in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story, performing songs including “Tonight” and “I Feel Pretty.” She later played Lucy Gray Baird in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and the title role in Snow White.

At the 2022 Grammy Awards, Zegler joined Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odom Jr. and Ben Platt for a performance of “Somewhere” during the memorial segment. She made her Broadway debut opposite Kit Connor in the 2024 production of Romeo + Juliet at Circle in the Square Theatre. In 2025, she played Eva Perón in Jamie Lloyd’s production of Evita at the London Palladium.
