Radio Free Alice are an Australian five-piece formed in Sydney in 2020 by school friends Noah Learmonth and Julian Paradiso before relocating to Melbourne. They play post-punk, new wave and indie rock, citing early New Order, The Jam and The Housemartins as core influences. The band released the EPs Radio Free Alice, Polyester and Empty Words; the self-titled release was nominated for Best Independent Punk Album or EP at the 2024 AIR Awards. In 2024, the band played its first overseas show at Manchester’s YES Basement. The same UK visit included The Great Escape and a London performance at Shacklewell Arms.
