Raheem DeVaughn in Detroit

Raheem DeVaughn is an American R&B and neo-soul singer-songwriter, born in Newark and raised in Maryland. He established his sound on the debut album The Love Experience and became known for songs including “Woman” and “Customer,” followed by albums such as Love Behind the Melody and The Love & War MasterPeace. In 2015, he performed an NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert featuring “Black Ice Cream” and “Queen.” His theater concerts are presented with a backing band, and he has performed repeatedly in Washington, D.C., including shows at the Howard Theatre.
