Raised by Owls in Manchester

Raised by Owls are a British comedy deathgrind band formed in Derby in 2015. Their songs pair grindcore and death metal with parodies of British popular culture; releases include the albums The Great British Grind Off and Dreadful, home to “I’m Sorry I Wore a Dying Fetus T-Shirt to Your Baby’s Gender Reveal Party.” At Bloodstock Open Air in 2022, the band played to a crowd containing a large contingent dressed as Mr Blobby, turning a recurring character in their comedy into part of the festival set. Raised by Owls took their full-band show to another major British metal event in 2024, when they performed at Download Festival.
