Raúl Ornelas in San Cristóbal de las Casas

Raúl Ornelas is a Mexican singer-songwriter from Chiapas whose music draws on trova, acoustic folk and canción de autor. His repertoire includes “Hasta la camisa,” “Las cartas sobre la mesa” and “El riesgo,” alongside albums such as En el exilio and Manual de lo prohibido; he has also recorded as part of the songwriting trio Tres de Copas. Raúl Ornelas has performed in Mexico City at the theatre-sized Teatro Metropólitan and the more intimate Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, presenting his solo songbook in a guitar-led concert format.
