Raymond Van Het Groenewoud in Amsterdam

Raymond van het Groenewoud is a Belgian singer-songwriter and musician, born in Schaerbeek in 1950. He writes Dutch-language pop and rock shaped by the kleinkunst tradition, and is known for songs including “Meisjes,” “Vlaanderen Boven,” “Je veux de l'amour” and “Twee meisjes.” Raymond van het Groenewoud performed at Pinkpop in 1980 and has appeared at Rock Werchter across several decades. His concerts have also taken his songbook into theatres and concert halls, where he sings and plays piano or guitar in a full-band format. For many of those performances, his backing group was De Centimeters.
