Silent Planet is an American metalcore band formed in Azusa, California, in 2009. Fronted by vocalist Garrett Russell, the group plays progressive metalcore and is known for dense, often footnoted lyrics about war, faith and mental health. Its catalogue includes the albums The Night God Slept, Everything Was Sound, Iridescent and Superbloom, as well as songs such as “Panic Room,” “Trilogy” and “Antimatter.” Silent Planet performed on Vans Warped Tour in 2017, then supported August Burns Red on the 2019 anniversary tour for Constellations alongside Silverstein. The band later mounted its North American Superbloom headline tour in 2024, supported by Thornhill, Aviana and Johnny Booth.
