Revocation & Defeated Sanity in San Jose

Revocation is an American technical death metal and thrash metal band formed in Boston in 2006. Led by guitarist and vocalist David Davidson, the group is known for intricate riffing and albums including Chaos of Forms, Deathless, The Outer Ones and Netherheaven. Revocation joined the Summer Slaughter Tour in 2013, appearing on a package headed by The Dillinger Escape Plan. In 2022, the band toured North America with Krisiun, Alluvial and Inoculation in support of Netherheaven, then joined Morbid Angel, Crypta and Skeletal Remains for the United States Tour of Terror in 2023.

Defeated Sanity are a German brutal and technical death metal band formed in Dachsbach in 1993 by musician Lille Gruber and his father, guitarist Wolfgang Teske. Their catalog includes the albums Psalms of the Moribund, Chapters of Repugnance and The Sanguinary Impetus; Disposal of the Dead / Dharmata divides one release between brutal death metal and progressive death metal. Defeated Sanity have toured clubs across Europe and North America, taking their tightly arranged material into the small rooms associated with extreme metal. They have also performed at specialist festivals including Obscene Extreme in the Czech Republic and Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore.
