Riaad Moosa in Port Edward

Riaad Moosa is a South African stand-up comedian, actor and qualified medical doctor, born in Cape Town in 1977. His comedy draws on medicine, family, Islam and South African identity. He is also known for starring as Cassim in the film Material and returning to the role in New Material. Strictly Halaal was among his early one-man shows, followed by For the Baracka and Doctor’s Orders. He later brought Life Begins to theatre audiences, while his appearances in Britain included a televised stand-up set on BBC’s Live at the Apollo.
