Richie Hawtin in Athens

Richie Hawtin is a Canadian electronic musician and DJ, born in Banbury, England, in 1970 and raised in Windsor, Ontario. He is known for stripped-down techno, particularly his work as Plastikman, the track “Spastik” and the albums Sheet One, Musik and Consumed. In 2013, Richie Hawtin presented Plastikman at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, and the performance provided the material for EX. He debuted the CLOSE audiovisual show at Coachella in 2017, using cameras trained on his equipment to make the mixing and live manipulation part of the visual presentation. Richie Hawtin has performed repeatedly in Detroit throughout his career. In Ibiza, he ran the ENTER. club series at Space from 2012 through 2015.
