Ringo Sheena in Akita

Ringo Sheena is a Japanese singer-songwriter who made her solo debut in 1998 and works across rock, pop and jazz. Her best-known songs include “Kabukichō no Joō” and “Marunouchi Sadistic,” while albums such as Muzai Moratorium, Shōso Strip and Kalk Samen Kuri no Hana established her sharply arranged, stylistically varied catalogue. She also formed and fronted the band Tokyo Jihen. The 2000 Gekokujō Xstasy tour took her solo catalogue through concert halls across Japan. Three years later, the Sugoroku Ecstasy tour reached Nippon Budokan, and in 2008 she marked the tenth anniversary of her debut through Ringo Expo 08, a three-concert engagement at Saitama Super Arena.
