Robben Ford in Morley

Robben Ford is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter born in California in 1951. He plays electric blues, jazz and blues rock, helped form the Yellowjackets, and is known for his work with Joni Mitchell and Miles Davis as well as the solo album Talk to Your Daughter. In 1974, Ford toured with Joni Mitchell as a member of the L.A. Express; recordings from those concerts appeared on Miles of Aisles. Later that year he played in the band for George Harrison’s North American tour, and in 1986 he joined Miles Davis on the road. His headline concerts center on his singing and electric guitar in a compact band setting. The Paris Concert documented his band at New Morning in Paris. Live at Montreux 1993 captured another European appearance, at Switzerland’s Montreux Jazz Festival.
