Robert Charlebois in Montreal

Robert Charlebois is a Canadian singer-songwriter and actor, born in Montreal in 1944. He brought electric rock and the colloquial French of Quebec into chanson through songs including “Lindberg,” recorded with Louise Forestier, “Ordinaire” and “Je reviendrai à Montréal.” In 1968, he performed with Forestier, Yvon Deschamps and Mouffe in the musical revue L’Osstidcho at the Théâtre de Quat’Sous. In 1974, he joined Félix Leclerc and Gilles Vigneault for an open-air concert on the Plains of Abraham during the Superfrancofête in Quebec City. The performance was released as J’ai vu le loup, le renard, le lion.
