Roberto Vecchioni is an Italian singer-songwriter, writer and teacher, born in Carate Brianza in 1943. A central figure in the cantautore tradition, he is known for narrative songs shaped by literature, history and autobiography, including “Luci a San Siro,” “Samarcanda” and “Chiamami ancora amore.” He first performed at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1973, presenting “L’uomo che si gioca il cielo a dadi.” His concert repertoire was documented on the 1992 live album “Camper,” which paired established songs with the then-new “Voglio una donna.” He returned to Sanremo in 2011 and won the festival with “Chiamami ancora amore.”
