Rocky Votolato in Cologne

Rocky Votolato is an American singer-songwriter associated with Seattle’s indie-rock and folk scenes. After fronting the band Waxwing, he built a solo catalogue around acoustic guitar and narrative songwriting, including the albums Suicide Medicine, Makers and Brag and Cuss. “White Daisy Passing” and “Portland Is Leaving” are among his best-known songs. Rocky Votolato toured clubs and small theatres in North America and Europe behind Suicide Medicine and Makers, performing both solo with an acoustic guitar and with supporting musicians. In 2023, he marked the twentieth anniversary of Suicide Medicine with a tour centered on the record. His history in his adopted hometown includes headline performances at Seattle’s Tractor Tavern.
