Rodgau Monotones are a German rock band formed in 1977 in Rodgau, Hesse. Their songs use colloquial German and regional humour, and they are best known for the album Volle Lotte and the songs “Die Hesse komme!” and “Ei Gude, wie!” The concert album Live documented the band’s mid-1980s stage work after Volle Lotte expanded its audience. In later decades, anniversary and year-end concerts repeatedly brought the group back to its home region, including Batschkapp in Frankfurt and Stadthalle Offenbach.
