Rubel is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Rio de Janeiro who makes contemporary MPB shaped by folk and indie pop. His debut album, Pearl, introduced “Quando Bate Aquela Saudade,” while Casas included “Partilhar”; he later released the two-part project As Palavras Vol. 1 & 2. Rubel toured the songs from Casas in Brazilian theatres and at festivals, using the album as the core of his concert repertoire. He later took As Palavras Vol. 1 & 2 onstage in band-led shows, including performances in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
