Runaway Gin is an American Phish tribute band formed in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2014. Led by guitarist Andy Greenberg, the group is known for performing Phish’s catalog in extended, improvisation-driven sets, including songs such as “Runaway Jim,” which inspired its name. A long-running Sunday-night residency at Charleston Pour House became the foundation of the band’s live history. Runaway Gin also took its tribute show beyond South Carolina, playing club dates and Phish aftershows at venues including Brooklyn Bowl in New York.
