Russell Peters in Abu Dhabi

Russell Peters is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor, born in 1970 to Indian immigrant parents. He became widely known after clips from his Comedy Now! television set circulated online. His material addresses ethnicity, accents and immigrant family life, and his recorded specials include Outsourced, Red, White and Brown and Notorious. In 2006, Peters recorded Outsourced at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco, then filmed Red, White and Brown at New York’s WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden in 2008. He recorded Notorious at the Sydney Opera House in 2013, extending that sequence of theatre performances into an international touring career. In 2007, Peters became the first stand-up comedian to sell out Toronto’s Air Canada Centre. He has also performed at London’s O2 Arena.
