Artists
Russian Circles are an American instrumental rock trio formed in Chicago in 2004. The band plays post-rock and post-metal built around guitar, bass and drums. Albums such as Station, Geneva, Empros, Memorial, Guidance, Blood Year and Gnosis include frequently cited tracks such as “Harper Lewis,” “Youngblood” and “Mladek.” The band’s 2016 performance at Dunk!festival in Belgium was released as Live at Dunk! Fest. Russian Circles have also performed at Roadburn Festival and ArcTanGent, alongside headline tours through clubs and theatres in North America and Europe. Russian Circles perform as a three-piece, with Mike Sullivan on guitar, Brian Cook on bass and Dave Turncrantz on drums.
Primitive Man is an American metal trio formed in Denver in 2012. The band plays a dense, abrasive strain of sludge and doom metal, established on releases including Scorn, Caustic and Immersion. Primitive Man performed at Roadburn in Tilburg in 2014, and the set was later issued as a live recording. A 2023 North American tour supported the collaborative album Suffocating Hallucination and paired the trio with Full of Hell.
