SAFIA are an Australian electronic-pop trio formed in Canberra in 2012 by Ben Woolner-Kirkham, Michael Bell and Harry Sayers. They are known for “Listen to Soul, Listen to Blues,” “Embracing Me” and their Peking Duk collaboration “Take Me Over,” as well as the albums Internal and Story’s Start or End. In 2014, SAFIA opened for Lorde on her Australian tour. Following the release of Internal, the trio undertook a national headline tour in 2016, then supported Twenty One Pilots on the Australian and New Zealand leg of the Emotional Roadshow World Tour in 2017. SAFIA perform as a three-piece live band, with Woolner-Kirkham on lead vocals, Bell on drums and Sayers playing guitar and synthesizers. Their Australian festival appearances have included Splendour in the Grass and Groovin the Moo.
