Salvatore Adamo in Mons

Salvatore Adamo is an Italian-Belgian singer-songwriter, born in 1943 in Comiso and raised near Mons. His melodic pop and French chanson ballads found a wide audience in the 1960s, led by songs including “Tombe la neige,” “Vous permettez, Monsieur?,” “La Nuit,” “Mes mains sur tes hanches” and “Inch’Allah.” He has also recorded his repertoire in several languages. Salvatore Adamo has returned repeatedly to the Olympia in Paris, a venue associated with his concert career since the 1960s. He later performed extensively in Japan and Latin America, where translated versions of his songs helped establish a lasting audience. He continues to give theatre concerts in Brussels and Santiago.
