Artist
Sam Bush is an American mandolinist, fiddler and singer, born in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 1952. He is known for co-founding New Grass Revival and for progressive bluegrass songs such as “Same Ol’ River” and “Howlin’ at the Moon,” as well as solo albums including Glamour & Grits and Laps in Seven. New Grass Revival toured through the 1970s and 1980s, including a period opening for and backing Leon Russell. After the group disbanded, Sam Bush joined Emmylou Harris and the Nash Ramblers, appearing on the live album At the Ryman, recorded during an engagement in Nashville. His own band later made repeated appearances at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
