Sam Jay is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer born in Atlanta and raised in Boston. She became known as a writer for Saturday Night Live and through the comedy specials 3 in the Morning and Salute Me or Shoot Me; she also co-created and starred in the series PAUSE with Sam Jay and Bust Down. Netflix recorded 3 in the Morning at The Masquerade in Atlanta, releasing the hour in 2020. Her next filmed stand-up set moved to a larger concert room: HBO recorded Salute Me or Shoot Me at Brooklyn Steel.
