Sammy Rae is an American singer-songwriter and bandleader from Connecticut, best known as the frontwoman of Sammy Rae & The Friends. Formed in New York in 2016, the group plays jazz-pop, funk and indie pop; its catalog includes “Kick It to Me,” “Talk It Up,” “Good Life” and the album Something for Everybody. Sammy Rae & The Friends toured North America on the Follow Me Like the Moon Tour in 2022, then returned for the If It All Goes South Tour and the Something for Everybody Tour. The concerts feature Sammy Rae backed by the full band, including a horn section, a format they have also presented at Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza.
