Sampa the Great is a Zambian rapper, singer and songwriter whose career took shape in Australia. Her music places hip-hop and spoken-word rap beside soul, jazz and Zamrock. The album The Return received the Australian Music Prize, while As Above, So Below and songs including “Final Form,” “Energy” and “Never Forget” further established her catalogue. In 2019, Sampa the Great performed at Glastonbury Festival during the live cycle for The Return. Three years later, she made her Coachella debut, performing a live-band set in California.
