About Saor
Saor is a Scottish atmospheric black metal project founded by multi-instrumentalist Andy Marshall in 2013. Its music draws on black metal, Scottish folk melodies and expansive instrumental passages, heard across albums including Roots, Aura, Guardians and Forgotten Paths.
Saor gave its first concert at North of the Wall Festival in Glasgow in 2016, expanding Marshall’s studio project into a live band. The group subsequently performed at Hellfest in Clisson and Ragnarök Festival in Lichtenfels.
