Sarah Davachi in Los Angeles

Sarah Davachi is a Canadian composer and performer, born in Calgary in 1987, who makes minimalist electroacoustic music from sustained tones, close harmonies and gradual changes in texture. Her work draws on pipe organ, analog synthesizers and acoustic instruments; key albums include Barons Court, All My Circles Run, Cantus, Descant and Two Sisters. At London’s Barbican Centre, Sarah Davachi has presented the slowly developing compositions heard across her recordings. She has also played solo sets built around organ, analog synthesizers and electronics at Unsound in Kraków and Rewire in The Hague.
