Scarlet Pleasure are a Danish pop and R&B trio formed in Copenhagen in 2013 by vocalist Emil Goll, bassist Alexander Malone and drummer Joachim Dencker. Songs including “Windy” and “What a Life” established their sound, while “What a Life” became closely associated with Thomas Vinterberg’s film Another Round. Scarlet Pleasure performed “What a Life” during the 2021 Academy Awards broadcast. Their concert history also includes a headline show at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena, bringing the trio’s live setup to an arena audience. Roskilde Festival and Smukfest have both hosted Scarlet Pleasure as part of Denmark’s summer festival calendar.
