Kerstin Ott is a German singer-songwriter, born in West Berlin in 1982, who performs pop-oriented schlager. She wrote and recorded “Die immer lacht” years before Stereoact’s dance remix made the song widely known in 2016. Her albums include Herzbewohner, Mut zur Katastrophe and Ich muss dir was sagen. Kerstin Ott toured behind Mut zur Katastrophe as a vocalist and guitarist accompanied by a live band. She followed that run with the Ich muss dir was sagen tour and later revisited her catalogue on the Best Ott tour.
