Sea Power in Portsmouth

Sea Power are a British indie-rock band formed in Brighton in 2000 and known as British Sea Power until 2021. Their guitar-led music ranges across post-punk, atmospheric rock and ambient passages. The band’s best-known work includes the albums The Decline of British Sea Power and Do You Like Rock Music?, the songs “Remember Me,” “Carrion” and “Waving Flags,” and the soundtrack to the video game Disco Elysium. For the Sea of Brass project, the group rearranged its songs for performances with regional brass bands, including a concert at London’s Barbican. Its full-band shows have also become associated with stage foliage and recurring appearances by giant bear costumes. In 2019, the musicians established the Krankenhaus festival at Muncaster Castle in Cumbria.
