Secret Garden in Istanbul

Secret Garden is a Norwegian-Irish duo formed in 1995 by composer and pianist Rolf Løvland and violinist Fionnuala Sherry. Their instrumental new age and classical-crossover music is led by piano, violin and orchestral arrangements. The mostly instrumental “Nocturne” won the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest for Norway, while “Song from a Secret Garden” and “You Raise Me Up” became central works in their catalogue. Secret Garden performed “Nocturne” at The Point Theatre in Dublin in 1995. Twenty years later, they marked their anniversary with a concert at the Kilden Performing Arts Centre in Kristiansand. Released as Live at Kilden, that performance documents the duo presenting its repertoire with orchestra, choir and guest singers.
