About Section 25
Section 25 are an English post-punk and electronic band formed in Blackpool in 1977 by brothers Larry and Vincent Cassidy. Closely associated with Factory Records, they are known for the albums Always Now and From the Hip, and for the electronic track “Looking from a Hilltop.”
Between 1979 and 1981, Section 25 performed around Britain and Northern Europe, including concerts with Joy Division and other Factory acts. Their first North American tour followed in 1982. The band reformed in 2001 and returned to concert work; after Larry Cassidy’s death in 2010, Beth Cassidy became the principal vocalist for later performances.
