About Seether
Seether is a South African rock band formed in Pretoria in 1999 under the name Saron Gas. Its post-grunge and alternative-metal sound reached a wider audience through the album Disclaimer and songs including “Fine Again,” “Broken,” “Remedy,” “Fake It” and “Country Song.”
In 2004, Seether toured North America with Evanescence during the Disclaimer era. The band later performed on the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival tour, and Shaun Morgan founded Rise Above Fest in 2012 as a benefit for suicide prevention and mental-health awareness. The festival began in Gilford, New Hampshire, and was later staged in Bangor, Maine.
