Shannon Noll in Darwin

Shannon Noll is an Australian pop-rock singer-songwriter, born in Orange, New South Wales, in 1975. He became known as the runner-up in the first season of Australian Idol, then recorded his version of the Moving Pictures song “What About Me.” His catalogue also includes “Drive,” “Shine” and the albums That’s What I’m Talking About and Lift. In 2004, he joined the other finalists on the Australian Idol national tour. He later toured his own albums around the country, including Lift and A Million Suns, performing with a full band in theatres, clubs and regional venues. Most of his headline touring has taken place in Australia.
