Artist
Shelter is an American hardcore punk band formed in New York by Youth of Today vocalist Ray Cappo. Its lyrics draw on Krishna consciousness and straight-edge ideas, helping establish the term krishnacore. The band is known for albums including Mantra, Beyond Planet Earth and When 20 Summers Pass, as well as the song “Here We Go.” In the mid-1990s, Shelter joined the Warped Tour as its melodic hardcore sound reached a wider punk audience. The group later reunited for further club dates and European festival appearances, including Groezrock in Belgium.
