About Shimza

Shimza is a South African DJ and producer from Tembisa who plays Afro-house and Afro-tech. His releases include “Kunye,” “Fight to Love” with Maleh and “Darling” with Aloe Blacc.

In 2009, he launched the annual Shimza’s One Man Show in Tembisa as a music event with a charitable purpose. In 2020, he performed a streamed Cercle set from Robben Island, bringing his DJ format to one of the country’s most historically significant sites.

Tomorrowland has hosted his sets in Boom, while Ultra South Africa has booked him in Johannesburg.
