Shintaro Sakamoto is a Japanese singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Osaka in 1967, who plays psychedelic pop, funk and rock. He was the frontman of Yura Yura Teikoku until the band dissolved in 2010, then established a solo catalogue through albums including How to Live with a Phantom, Let’s Dance Raw, Love If Possible and Like a Fable. His first US tour in 2022 presented his solo songs in a live-band format, with Sakamoto singing and playing guitar. The itinerary paired a festival appearance at Desert Daze in California with a club show at Elsewhere in Brooklyn.
