Shpongle in Denver

Shpongle is a British electronic music project formed in 1996 by producer Simon Posford and flautist Raja Ram. Its psychedelic electronic music draws on ambient, downtempo and psytrance, and the project is known for albums including Are You Shpongled?, Tales of the Inexpressible and Nothing Lasts... but Nothing Is Lost. The full Shpongle ensemble performed at London’s Roundhouse in 2008, a concert preserved as Live at the Roundhouse. Simon Posford brought The Shpongletron Experience to North American clubs and theatres in 2011, presenting the music through a custom stage structure. In 2019, the full band gave performances billed as its farewell live concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Random Rab is the recording name of American electronic producer and multi-instrumentalist Rab Clinton. He makes downtempo, trip-hop and ambient-leaning electronic music, and is known for the track “Apparently” and albums including Seed, aRose and Visurreal. Random Rab has played recurring sunrise sets at Burning Man, establishing dawn performances as a documented part of his live work. He has also carried that format to Lightning in a Bottle and Costa Rica’s Envision Festival.
