Shubh Saran in Detroit

Shubh Saran is an Indian guitarist and composer based in New York. He writes instrumental music shaped by jazz, progressive rock and Indian classical traditions, and his releases include the albums Hmayra and Inglish. Shubh Saran leads his compositions from electric guitar in a full-band setting, supported by keyboards, bass, drums and horns. His performance for NPR Music’s Tiny Desk documented that ensemble format in Washington, D.C.
