Sidhu Moose Wala in Calgary

Sidhu Moose Wala was the stage name of Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, an Indian Punjabi-language rapper, singer and songwriter born in Moosa, Punjab, in 1993. He first wrote Ninja’s song “License” and became known for “So High,” followed by the albums PBX 1 and Moosetape. He made hip-hop and rap shaped by Punjabi folk music. He was shot dead in Punjab on May 29, 2022. In September 2021, Sidhu Moose Wala performed with Mist at Wireless Festival in London.
