About Silk
Silk is an American R&B vocal group formed in Atlanta in 1989. Discovered by Keith Sweat, the group became known for close harmonies, new jack swing and slow jams, led by the chart-topping “Freak Me” and the debut album Lose Control. “Meeting in My Bedroom” later became another signature song.
In 2021, Silk joined Keith Sweat during his Verzuz performance against Bobby Brown and sang “Freak Me,” reuniting onstage with the producer who had introduced the group.
