Silvana Estrada in Miguel Hidalgo

Silvana Estrada is a Mexican singer-songwriter born in 1997 in Xalapa, Veracruz. She writes chamber folk rooted in Latin American song traditions, accompanying her voice on the Venezuelan cuatro. Her 2022 album Marchita and songs including “Te Guardo” and “Si Me Matan” are central works in her catalogue. In 2022, Silvana Estrada took Marchita on tour in a concert format built around her voice and cuatro, often supported by strings and percussion. She also performed at Newport Folk Festival that year and at Glastonbury Festival in 2023.
