About Simone & Simaria
Simone & Simaria were a Brazilian sertanejo duo formed in 2012 by Bahia-born sisters Simone Mendes and Simaria Mendes. After singing with Frank Aguiar and performing in the forró group Forró do Muído, they built their own repertoire around sertanejo, forró and pop. “Meu Violão e o Nosso Cachorro,” “Regime Fechado” and the Anitta collaboration “Loka” are among their best-known songs.
Bar das Coleguinhas was recorded in Fortaleza as a live album and concert film. They followed it with Live, filmed in Goiânia, where Anitta, Jorge & Mateus and Bruno & Marrone joined the recording. Their joint stage career ended in 2022, when Simone began a solo career and Simaria stepped away from performing.
